Well for those in the know and those not so in the know I've just found myself a shiny new job woo hoo.
So for the forseeable future I'll be working for TRC as the Senior IMS Officer now for those who have never had to deal with paperwork side of an operation, basically to manage your exposure to risk you need a dcoument trail to show the relevant authorities that you checked and thought of everything but were unprepared for the act of god.
This comes in handy when said authority is looking to collect a few scalps. So a large job but with plenty of oppurtunity for ass kicking and getting outdoors a lot very sweet.
The good
9 day fortnight
Same pay rate as I was getting in Wagga
8 hour day not those crappy 10 to 12 ones I was pulling before
Govt rate of super payment
Salary Sacrifice
Not blowing hundreds of dollars a month to come home and see S and the kids
The bad (maybe)
Role has expanded to include not just environmental but safety and quality as well
Senior person has people reporting to them so for the first time in my professional life I'll have to manage someone other than myself, so not really sure how I'll go at this one but how hard can it be when you just joint lock someone into submission
More after I start work on Tuesday
